Giulietta, Juliet, Julia

Hey everyone!
It's been such a long time since my last post, and I'm very sorry about that - but here we are, back again on our exchange about the best books in the world!

I'd like to start with my most favourite book in the world, written by the great danish/american author Anne Fortier.
Probably everyone in the world knows Shakespeares story about two young italian lovers from hostile families. You all know what I'm talking about. Romeo and Juliet.
Everyone knows how the story ends: Juliet fakes her death, Romeo finds her, kills himself, Juliet finds him, kills herself ( this time properly).

But what would you do, if you find out, that your a descendant of Shakespeares heroine? That you are Juliet herself this time?
That's Julie Jacobs problem - she always loved the drama, but she can not believe that she is Juliet - or Giulietta, as she is known in Siena, the "real" Verona. If you're interested in this book, you should totally read more about it's content ( maybe here )
, but I won't tell you more about it, because on the one side, this book is just the best book I've ever read, and when I start talking/writing about it, I will not be able to stop, and on the otherside, I have to confess that I'm not very good in writing summarys ;D

But I have to say one last thing about this great novel: It is VERY different than you would expect it, because it's not that "typical" Romeo & Juliet story, and Anne Fortier has just a great writing style and developes such an amazing, thrilling, romantic story, that this book is just perfect, and I can't wait to see the movie one day of this stunning story.

I  have to quit now, because this book really IS a worldwide bestseller, and it has so incredible many great covers, that I can't show them all to you, but if you're interested in them just visit Anne Fortier's Facebook page! There you can get also many information about her new book "The lost sisterhood", which is also a VERY great novel, and about which I will tell you something soon!

I'd like to know now, if you know some other stories in which the character discover that they are descendants of some antique famous persons ( maybe even lovers?), or stories about "new" Romeos and Juliets. And of course - as always - Which cover do you like most? Maybe even a cover, which is not shown here? And did you know the book already?

Thanks for reading, and I promise that I'll try to blog more!
Greetings,

Cat
